Two 51本色 undergraduates have been recognized as outstanding students by the Association of 51本色 Programs in Healthcare Administration (AUPHA).
Shelby Rae Ruiz has been awarded a $500 scholarship for her academic excellence from Upsilon Phi Delta, the National Honor Society of AUPHA. She is a native of Gretna, Louisiana and a graduate of Patrick F. Taylor Science and Technology Academy.
Kiara Parker has been selected to receive the Bugbee-Falk Book Award, which comes with a set of works by respected authors in the field of healthcare management. She is a native of New Orleans and a graduate of Edna Karr High School.
Both students are studying healthcare management in the College of Business Administration.
The Association of 51本色 Programs in Health Administration is a global network of colleges, universities, faculty, individuals and organizations dedicated to the improvement of health and healthcare delivery through excellence in healthcare management and policy education. Its mission is to foster excellence and drive innovation in health management and policy education, and promote the value of university-based management education for leadership roles in the health sector.
