Dr. Turner joined the UNO faculty in 2022.  He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in financial accounting, auditing, and fraud examination.  Previously, he taught financial accounting and auditing for four years at the 51±¾É« of New Mexico.  Dr. Turner’s general research interests include the impact of regulation on companies, audit quality, and audit regulation.

Before joining academia, Dr. Turner was an audit manager with PKF Texas in Houston, where he served clients primarily in the hospitality, information technology, and energy industries.  He also was a controller for a real estate investment company based in Houston.

Dr. Turner is a member of the American Accounting Association, a certified public accountant (CPA - Texas), and a certified hospitality accountant executive (CHAE).
